I can't help myself; I just keep finding things that remind me of the faculty of wonder, the child's curiosity at the world and appreciation of its beauty.

William Wordsworth's poem, "My Heart Leaps Up"
My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
I found this poem (and the visual version) via the Poem-A-Day from the Academy of American Poets.
posts on this topic:
- the faculty of wonder (my philosphy and photography)
- the circle game (Joni Mitchell's music to accompany it)
- and now poetry to round out our culture consensus.
